Children Empowerment Network (Rengera umwana) club organized a special outing for children on April 30th , 2024. The trip took the children to the historic Mpushi rocks in Musambira sector of Kamonyi district, where King Ruganzu II Ndoli once passed. The purpose of the trip was to educate the children about history and the environment.
During the trip, 60-year-old Narcisse shared with the children the significance of Mpushi and pointed out various landmarks left behind by King Ruganzu II Ndoli. These included Igisoro (traditional Rwandan game), his sleeping areas, where he would sit, and even the footprints of his cows.
The children greatly appreciated the trip as it provided them with a valuable learning experience during their school holidays. They were able to play and have fun, while also receiving important messages encouraging them to stay focused and avoid engaging in unhealthy activities.
